Export: Data exported in HTML and tab delimited formats do not display diacritics correctly.
Administrative: The administrative system restricts institutional accounts to either IP ranges or referring URLs to authenticate users. Institutional subscribers should be able to use both methods of authentication concurrently (e.g. IP authentication for on-campus users, while off-site users are authenticated via referring URL).
WORKAROUND: ALA can set up multiple admin accounts for a single institutional subscriber–one to provide IP authentication, another for referring URLs to authenticate users. (4/29/2009)
Browse Results: Editor’s Guides, introductory essays in Guide to Reference, mistakenly appear as entries in browse results. Links to Editor’s Guides, when available, should only appear beneath the name of the category being introduced on the Browse Categories screen and at the top of browse results pages.
Search: The Guide to Reference search mechanism does not recognize diacritics or other special characters.
Export: After export, user is not returned to the browse/search results, user list or entry details screen at which the export action was initiated (by clicking the “Export” button).
WORKAROUND: Breadcrumb trail links can be used to return to point of origin. (4/20/2009)
Browse/Search Results – Narrow by Category: After any Narrow by Category filters have been applied to browse/search results, user cannot remove filters or back out of the narrowed results using browser’s “Back” button.
In search results, “Back” button appears to remove Narrow by Category filter. But when a new Narrow by Category filter is applied to the results set the new result is zero entries.
In browse results, “Back” button returns user to Browse Categories screen.
Internet Explorer only: Parentheses display with extra spaces preceding and following when rendered in Internet Explorer 7 and earlier. Not tested in Internet Explorer 8. Does not affect Firefox 2/3.
Browse/Search Results; Entry Details; User Lists screens: Edition data is not being displayed in either short citations displayed in browse/search results and user lists or in longer citations in entry details.
